The 1st Annual National Vocabulary Championship

The first annual National Vocabulary Championship (NVC) took place in New York City on March 5, 2007. Fifty high school students, comprised of winners from live competitions in 8 cities and the 42 high scorers in an online test, competed for the $40,000 grand prize.
